Orthios anticipates 2019 will be a very busy year for the commercial vessels, utilising our jetty facilities for numerous marine orientated activities such as new ocean energy schemes and wind turbine refurbishment. Over the past 3 years, Orthios has seen a steady increase in the number of commercial visits to our berth face. This is in addition to a record number of cruise ships visiting our jetty.
As part of the demolition process, Orthios stripped the jetty of all the old dedicated materials offloading infrastructure. This is in preparation for the deployment of new equipment when and as needed.
Our jetty is a 24-hour, deep water, lock-free facility, located on the Irish Sea coast, and within easy reach of several major cities in the UK and Ireland. Vessels of up to 300 metres can be accommodated and our staff are experienced in jetty operations, including safety management and customer service.
Further information on our jetty can be found here.
